How long will my order take?

We strive to make your personalized gifts quickly! Giving a new baby gift or birthday present is often time sensitive, and we know that you don’t want arrive at a party empty handed.  That’s why we aim to have your embroidered items ready for you quick.

SPECIFIC TURNAROUND TIMES VARY FOR EACH ITEM, so it is very important to look on each product page  to see our real-time expected completion times.

For an extra fee we are able to complete an embroidered gift in approximately 1-2 business days. Please note that this rush service is for gift personalization at our facility, and not for rush shipping.  We always use expedited Canada Post services or our courier to get items to you quickly, but please remember to consider shipping times too.

Some items that are hand-created (such as stools and painted items) take a bit more time. Yes, our talented artisans are incredibly hard working, but please remember that they are actually using their own two hands to make your special gift so it takes more time than a machine embroidered order.  We promise it will be worth the wait!

How do I place an order?


We built this website for you, to make the ordering process simple, fast & to make it less possible for us to type in the wrong spelling of the name!  We have a fully automated system which speeds up our flow and makes it possible to process orders more quickly, ship more quickly, and then make you happy more quickly!  Ordering online also keeps track of your online order history, so you be able to log in and see what your favourite blanket was that you gifted last year or what font you used on your son’s bags in September.


We love hearing from you (unless it’s a complaint ;)! Phone orders are always welcome.  Please leave a message if we are unavailable to take your call (or better yet – order online!)  Customers placing phone orders will receive an email verifying your order.  For your order to be placed into queue for production you must reply with a email confirming that the order details are correct.  (It is very difficult over the phone to hear the difference between an “f” and an “s” – explaining the “Famantha” backpack made in error a few years back)


Do you have a store where I can shop and place orders?

Our workshop is located at 3383 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Ontario.  We do have the option at checkout for you to pick up your completed gift for free at this location, however,  it is truly a workshop and not a store for placing orders.

What payment methods are accepted?

All transactions are in Canadian Funds (CAD).  We accept the following credit card payments through our secured site: Visa or Mastercard.  If you have a Paypal account, we also accept payment through Paypal.  We’ve also been known to accept massive amounts of chocolate and coffee!

Is your shopping cart secure?

We’ve got the confidence to tell you that we are entirely secure! Our site is built with top-notch security control; it’s so safe that we can’t see your credit card information (which is why we can’t alter your confirmed orders once you submit them). We don’t store your credit card information, either. All of your credit card and personal info is encrypted whenever receiving and transferring your payment information, which is a fancy way of saying that we take serious steps to protect your personal information.

Can I customize an order?

Our artists love a creative challenge and many of them are able to customize a gift for you. Send us a colour sample, a fabric swatch, or a picture or your instructions and our artists will do their best to create something for you.  Please note that exact colour matching is not guaranteed and that there is typically an additional charge for customizing.  Customized orders also often require more time for our artists to get ‘er done.

How do I make a change or cancel an existing order?

If you need to make a change or cancel an order that you placed, please contact us immediately.  Please call 416-638-1227 or email us at [email protected].  In your email, please be sure to include your name, phone number, order number and the product(s) you ordered. As long as the gift has not been personalized yet, we will do our best to accommodate your request. It may not be possible to change/cancel your order if it has already been personalized or in the process of being customized for you.

Can you gift wrap my item(s)?

We always wrap your gifts for free! *  At the “checkout” section on-line,  please fill out the gift card with a special message and we will include a card in there for you too!  We will ship your gift directly to the recipient and no receipt will be included.

* YNIB makes a conscious business choice to limit our use of single-use gift wrapping.  Wherever possible, we wrap using less, not more!  We are aware that we have a responsibility to protect the Earth that these little babies have been born into.

* Some larger and oversized gifts are unable to be gift wrapped.

Do you include any price tags or receipts with my shipment?

Nope. We don’t.  We know that your gift is most likely heading to meet a new baby and his/her family.  They are going to love opening up their package..and we promise there will be no prices or receipts inside.

How do i get my completed order?

1. Please come pick up your items at the factory!  We are open Monday to Friday and we would love to see you (especially if you bring us a coffee when you visit…just sayin’ 😉  When you order online, you will have the option for “free pickup at our store”.  You will receive an automatic email once your order is ready and then pop by to pick up your gift(s) during our store hours.

Please know that if our open store hours are not convenient for you, we offer really cheap shipping across the country.

What if I have a corporate account?

We take special care of our corporate customers! If you have been approved for a corporate account, we make sure to keep a personal eye on your business orders to ensure that the baby gifts that you have ordered for your clients and staff are shipped within a quick timeframe.

What taxes are charged on my order?

Sales tax is charged only on orders purchased from a Canadian address.  Standard provincial taxes will be applied plus GST of 5%, based on the shipping address.

There is no sales tax on US or International orders.

What is your return policy?

Every piece is made just for you, therefore we do not accept returns for any custom-made and/or personalized gifts. If the new grandmother unfortunately told you that the spelling for “Charlee” was “Charlie”, it really sucks but we are not responsible for that error (although many times we can help you – so email us!).  Please be sure of the spelling before you make your order, as we can not keep pending orders in queue.  If we messed up and made an error in spelling or size, then most certainly we will fix and/or replace the item at our cost.

We gladly accept returns or exchanges of other, non-personalized products. Please note that we must be contacted by phone or email within 15 days of receipt. Once you have received confirmation to return the item(s), send the item(s) back to us, in its original condition, and we will refund your purchase, less shipping and handling. Any returns sent to us without prior notification will be refused. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer and is not refundable. Please insure the package, as we are not responsible for lost packages.

We don’t want to make two of the same personalized gifts for cute little baby Johnny Appleseed just as much as you don’t want to give the same item to him!  Please trust us when we tell you that we try our very best to prevent duplications of identical gifts (this is why we ask for the child’s last name when you place your order). We’ve been keeping track of our name orders for 17 years now and we will contact you if we are aware that you are ordering the same gift for the same child.  This is an additional service that we offer but it is not a guarantee.  Give us the proper first and last name of the child you are ordering for and we will do our best, but we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges for any duplicated personalized gift. Plus, believe us moms when we tell you that we could use an extra bag or two around the house!
